Krita android software#
In years between 20, Krita was developed as a generic image manipulation software like Photoshop and GIMP.Ī change of direction happened to the project in 2009, with a new goal of becoming digital painting software like Corel Painter and SAI.

The first public version of Krita was released with KOffice 1.4 in 2004. To avoid existing trademarks on the market, the project underwent numerous name changes: KImageShop, Krayon, until it was finally settled with "Krita" in 2002. In 1999, Matthias Elter proposed the idea of building the software using CORBA around ImageMagick. The idea of building a Qt-based image editor was later passed to KImage, maintained by Michael Koch, as a part of KOffice suite. PS is super reliable and fast on artworks with 10000 px wide size and hundreds of layers, CSP it’s amazing for line artwork with it’s vector brush system that allows to easily change line thickness and shape on the line, although it can paint the same as the others, and Krita have a bit of everything, i love all the freedom and different tools it gives, it’s also my main mobile app, so having all that on the go it’s amazing.īut ultimately they can produce the same results.Early development of the project can be tracked back to 1998 when Matthias Ettrich, founder of KDE, showcased a Qt GUI hack for GIMP at Linux Kongress.

In Fact Krita have a better brush engine for traditional brushes simulation, but CSP also have a very robust brush engine, and i find their two engines better than the PS one. I use three main apps, PS, CSP and Krita. I remember looking at Blender in the past and thinking that it would dominate the market one day, and we can already see thatĪlways though it about Krita too, it has the potential, and i think that the mobile scene can catapult that a lot since more and more people go just go to Art Gallery - Clip Studio Paint and you will see some outstanding paintings done with CSP, funny enough for years i though the contrary, that i never saw Krita artworks as good and crisp as CSP or photoshop ones, a preconception i don’t have anymore haha. Hope it got this kind of attention it deserves more. Yeah, hope in the future some big Corp help fund Krita, i saw that there’s some colleges using Krita to teach animation instead of other apps.
